Red-whiskered Bulbuls Lay Pale-Pink Eggs with Dark Spots

Red-whiskered Bulbuls build open nests in the shape of a teacup in bushes at a height of around 1–3 meters. They are built with soft fiber: rough outside and soft inside. They lay two or three eggs. The eggs are pale-pinkish with spots of darker red. They breed from June to September.

Both birds incubate. The eggs hatch after about 14 days. Both parents feed the chicks. They become quite friendly with humans; but are suspicious of them when they are with young ones.
