Birds of Kalluvayal, Kerala

 I was on my home visit. I was happy to spend a few days with my mother at home in Kalluvayal, Kannur, Kerala. Being a tropical area, with plenty of rainfall, the place is rich with green cover and trees. People at home proudly say that they see amazing birds flying by. I decided to spend some time in bird watching, and photographing them. I was in for surprises. the short period of time I spend watching birds I saw great many birds; some even with young ones. 

I could photograph more than 15 different species of birds. I find it important to know their names and  document them.

Kerala, lying along side with the Western Ghats is rich with varieties of birds. I am waiting for my next visit to this region.
